Billy Butlin created a one stop holiday camp for families to get away during the summer break. Between 1936 and 1966, 10 camps were built, this advert shows off 5 of those holiday camps. Often regarded as the golden age of train travel these familiar travel posters were advertised to generations of train travellers across the UK. Most of these artworks encouraged families to explore the United Kingdom via train. Specially commissioned artists, such as Ronald Lampitt, Norman Wilkinson and Frank Henry Mason, produced beautiful British Rail Travel Posters for all of the major towns and cities across the UK.
