More people were becoming the proud owners of a motor car, and international travel on cruise liners became very fashionable.
The 1930s saw the introduction of the iconic VW beetle, a car loved so much it is still being manufactured today! However, this decade also saw economic depression both at home and abroad, and the looming shadow of another war towards the end of the decade. Life for people living in this time certainly changed. But it wasn't all bad! The style and glamour of the Art Deco period were born, and this decade saw the mass commercialisation of confectionery.
