Christmas 2019 Posting Dates from Sweet and Nostalgic
Here are the latest shipping dates (accordingly to Royal Mail and our Delivery partners) for our services on the run up to Christmas 2019. If for some reason you have selected a service past any of these dates we will contact you to offer you the correct service (surcharge may be incurred).
Shipping And Handling
We aim to send out nearly ALL orders the same day (exceptions include our personalised gifts and larger bespoke orders which will take an extra few days). You can choose your preferred shipping option at the checkout, just choose your country and postcode and you will be given your shipping options. If you want you find out how much delivery will cost prior to checkout you can calculate shipping at any stage by clicking on the link next to your shopping cart (top right) as long as there are items in your basket. Alternatively, you can total the individual weights of selected products (see product information pages) and compare the shipping charges shown below.
The cost of post and packaging is relative to the weight of your order. We add a small amount for packaging but endeavour to ensure that your only pay what is reasonable in relation to Royal Mail's / Courier's current pricing.
Domestic UK Shipping Options
UK Delivery Options : RM48 / RM 48 Tracked / RM24 / RM 24 Tracked / Highlands, Island and N.I. /1-2 Day Courier / Next Day Courier / Special Delivery.
All UK orders under 2Kgs are sent by Royal Mail (Unless courier option is selected). For orders above 2Kg, we send these by Courier (which is tracked and signed for) . If your order weight is less than 50gms we will ship it FREE OF CHARGE by RM48 service (e.g ration books, wartime cookery booklet, war medals and coins).
RM24 and 48 Tracked
Why not upgrade to our fully tracked Royal Mail Service (available on UK Mainland orders under 2Kgs). You will receive a tracking number on dispatch, an email from royal mail on the expected day of delivery and / or SMS text message on your day of delivery, giving you complete control, knowing it is is due to arrive / simple options to change the delivery date or have your item dropped off at your local post office for collection later. Also you can take advantage of the SAFE PLACE option to have your parcel left securely if you are out or delivered to a nominated neighbour.
UK Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland
Orders up to 2Kgs are sent by Royal Mail, on larger orders 2Kgs and above you can choose our Flat Rate Courier Service £18.
Next Day Courier
Order before 11am and choose our Next Day Service £8.95 (Max 30Kgs, UK Mainland Only, Mon-Fri Delivery Only) and we will send your items out by UPS to arrive with you the very next day (excludes large orders of bespoke gifts e.g Retro Sweet Packs and Mug Gift Sets). You will also receive a unique tracking number in your shipping email to follow your parcels progress. Even if you miss our deadline we may still be able to ship you item for next day delivery through our Royal Mail Account (Special Delivery), please call us on 0845 475 1007 to find out more.
1-2 Day Courier
If you are not in an immediate rush to receive your items, you can take advantage of our 1-2 day courier service for £6.95 (Max 10Kgs, UK Mainland Only, Mon-Fri Delivery Only). It is a tracked and signed for service just like our Next Day service, only you will receive it a day or so later, you might even receive it Next Day ! A great service to save on postage for larger items. We use UPS for these services.
Special Delivery Next Day (Before 1pm)
Available on all stock items. Order before 4.00pm. Tracking number provided on dispatch of your item. You will be advised a.s.a.p. if there is a problem with delivery.
Saturday Delivery (RM24/48 Tracked)
Orders up to 2Kgs are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24 which offers a Saturday Delivery ( as opposed to standard delivery which is Mon-Fri). However, this is not a guaranteed service.
We are keen to support UK forces both home and abroad. We are able to send up 2Kgs in weight at our normal UK standard delivery rates. Place your order as normal, but please insert you county address as 'NOT LISTED' and your shipping country as 'UNITED KINGDOM', and we will sort out the rest. If your order is over 2Kgs we may send multiple deliveries.
International Shipping - Tracked and Signed Service included in Price
All E.U. and International orders are sent via Tracked and Signed for service (where possible). Please make sure you enter the appropriate destination at the checkout. Delivery varies based on our carriers lead times, these can vary from 3 - 15 working days, but usually quicker as we send all EU and International orders via priority services. Any questions, please feel free to contact us prior to purchase.
UK Tax is deducted from all Rest of World International orders automatically, this includes orders from the UK Channel Islands, EU Orders can also benefit from VAT deduction with the supply of a valid Tax number (please contact us when you place your order). PLEASE NOTE : Depending on the value of your order you may be liable to Customs Charges in order to receive your goods. Please refer to your own countries allowable import values prior to purchase.
World Zone 1
World Zone 1 generally covers countries in North America, Canada, South America, Africa, the Middle East, the Far East and South East Asia.
World Zone 2
This zone covers the following territories: Australia, New Zealand and Australasia Countries.
We will normally process your order within 1 working day, however please allow 3-5 days for delivery within the UK on our standard shipping service, and up to 15 Days for European and Rest of the World deliveries. PLEASE NOTE : Nearly all of our packages are too large to fit through a standard letter box. Royal Mail or the Courier Company should leave a calling card if you are out on standard deliveries and you will also be able to arrange redelivery or drop off on tracked items. If you have not received your order longer than 7 days after receiving your shipping email please contact your local sorting office as your first priority, if you have no luck, then please contact us and we'll raise an investigation to track your delivery.
If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with an expected delivery date and the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait. We operate stock control on our website so we hope you will not encounter any problems.
We have a 30 days return policy, and if there is a problem with your purchase we are always at the end of the phone or email. We will endeavour to resolve your problem. That is why we are more than happy to offer a FREE returns policy if there is ever any need to use it. (Applies to UK domestic orders only).
