The Land Rover Series I, II, and III (commonly referred to as "Series" Land Rovers, to distinguish them from later models) are off-road vehicles produced by the British manufacturer Land Rover, inspired by the US-built Willys Jeep. Land Rover entered Edit Production in 1948 the later termed Series I. Launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show and originally designed for farm and light industrial use, it had a steel box-section chassis, and an aluminium body. Land Rover say that 70% of these vehicles ever made are still in use today!
