Military Cross ( Mini Medal )

Originally awarded to captains, lieutenants and warrant officers of the army, it was subsequently extended to include equivalent ranks of the RAF when performing acts of bravery on the ground.

This re-Edit Production Military Cross medal is made from silver plated lead-free pewter. Obverse shows a plain cross, crowned Royal cypher in the centre, reverse is plain. It is supplied on a purple and white ribbon attached to a card with an image of a FE 2b being shot down by an Albatross DIII during the Battle of Arras on the front and historical information on the reverse. An interesting wartime educational resource for students, likewise a nostalgic gift for enthusiasts.
