Thomas Crapper & Co Metal Wall Sign (4 Sizes)
Despite the urban legend, Crapper did not invent the toilet (the myth assisted by his surname). The flushing toilet was invented by Edward Jennings who, in 1852, first took out a patent for the flush-out toilet. However, Crapper did much to increase its popularity and came up with some related inventions, such as the ballcock. Noted for the quality of his Edit Products Thomas Crapper received several Royal Warrants.
This replica Victorian advertising sign (based on an original flyer from the time) produced by Thomas Crapper and Co. shows with intricate detail the development of the flushing toilet. Our Thomas Crapper toilet sign makes a quirky decorator's piece to any vintage styled bathroom or downstairs toilet. This toilet wall art is certainly a talking point!
